Claudianus Bourne, MS RN CCRN FNP-BC, moved to the capital region in 1995 from New York City after obtaining an associate’s degree in science from Hostos Community College. Initially, he worked with the disabled population before attending Russell Sage College, where he graduated with honors with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1999 and was inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.

Afterward, he worked as a registered nurse at local hospitals for 12 years, primarily in critical care, and earned a certification as a Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN). He worked as an assistant nurse manager on a critical care unit before going on to further his education at SUNYIT, where he graduated in 2012 with a Master of Science degree and became a family nurse practitioner. He went on to work in primary care and hospital internal medicine for 12 1/2 years before joining the healthcare team at OMS.
